What is an option?
An option gives someone the right, but not the obligation, to purchase a ticket at face value at a predetermined date in the future.
Why buy an option?
Options provide unmatched levels of convenience and flexibility. Rather than make a financial commitment for the entire price of the ticket today, an option allows you to defer your decision until a later date and know that you have a guaranteed ticket should you want to attend the event. In addition, in high demand situations where you might have to purchase a ticket on a secondary market many times over face value, an option gives you the right to buy a ticket at face value.
How do options work?
An option is associated with an actual ticket that is held by the rights-holder. Once that option is purchased, the fan has the right, but not the obligation, to purchase that ticket at a predetermined date in the future. After the option is initially purchased, the fan has the ability to sell that option to someone else on the OptionIt Aftermarket, exercise the option (purchase the ticket and attend the game), or let it expire.
